"It seems as if in the process of growing up we lose the ability to wonder about the world."
This statement said by Albert Knox is quite interesting and debatable. It has got me to think that "have I been losing the ability to wonder about the world or not, whilst growing up?"
I personally quite strongly agree with Albert Knox. I agree with him due to various different reasons. I think it is so true that once we start growing older, no one would actually sit and start to "wonder about the world" and think about "where does the world come from?". As time goes by and with the current generation, everybody is so busy with life, with school, with work and do not tend to have much free time. In addition, I think we all are very used to being living a life in this world that no-one would even bother thinking about such a question.
For example, I have never actually sat for even 15 minutes and asked myself: "how am I here?", "How was the world made?", "Who made it?". After reading this book, I have actually sat and wondered, "how am I here today in this world?!" The reason for me not asking myself these questions before is that I am so used to having nature, the people, my family and friends, and everything around me that it just feels as if it has always been here somehow.
However, to be honest, I have always thought and somehow thought I knew that God made this place I am living in today, somehow and sometime. I have also previously learnt in R.S that this place was made in 7 days by God. That is my belief of "where does the world come from?"
To contradict my opinion, it does not take a mastermind to ask "where does the world come from?" Therefore, many people who are interested in Philosophy do probably ask this question. For instance, once my friend who loves Philosophy asked me (before I read this book), "Have you ever wondered, who you really are?" I just ignored her, but after reading this book, I keep thinking to myself, "Who am I?"

I agree with you about how once we start get older, we do not really think and wonder about the world much as everybody gets so busy with life. All teenagers with work do not tend to have much free time and this just makes them to think less. However it’s not only because we are busy that we tend to lose our ability to wonder but also how as we get older, we receive more information about the world and answers to the questions, that we tend to wonder less than we were a child with only a little knowledge. In addition, I agree that as we get older, we are very used to being living a life in this world that not often we would even bother thinking about such a questions.
