I believe that the red-tinted glasses show how truth is determined by one's own reasoning. This is because the red-tinted glasses work in much the same was as, for example, being brought up believing in the existence of God. Already, your perception of truth is different from that of others, as you have chosen to see things a certain way without considering all of the other countless possibilties for what could be the truth, which then shows that in fact, there is no such thing as a correct conception of knowledge and the world, as everyone has their own versions of the truth.
As for how the questions of perspectives apply to one's own life, we can see that the way in which a person sees the world affects the way in which they act. For instance, if the Islamic Terrorists who attacked the Two Towers on September 11th did not believe that American culture being a threat to Islamic culture was true, then the attacks would have probably not happened. However, them being bought up in an extremely devout Islamic community was what affected their reasoning and drove them to believe that America really was posing a threat, even though many others would have never thought of this simply because their own reasoning made them see different truths about the world.
In conclusion, I believe that there is no such thing as truth, as truth is a concept made up by one's own mind.

Hi Lucien.
I like your idea about how people have unique truths, of which are often influenced by external forces - in your case extremist indoctrinations. Many who don't consider other points of views fall in the trap of misconceptions of which you have highlighted.
However, I don't agree with your view that 'there is no such thing as a correct conception of knowledge and the world'. Firstly, there are two absolute things in life - life and death. These two things happen to each and everyone and every living creature, and is a law of nature that cannot be defied. They are also mutually exclusive as you can only be at the state of one or the other. Also, let us consider mathematics. 1+1 = 2. This is inarguably correct and proven so. There no substitutes for this answer, and hence the 'truth' that 1+1 =2 exists as an absolute knowledge to everyone.
